- Beer bottles' relative shortness means they're ideal vessels for flowers with short stalks. Don't just stick a bouquet in your beer bottle as it is, though; decorate it so it actually looks like a vase. You could dip flower-shaped foam stamps into paint and stamp a floral pattern on a colored leaf of paper before covering the bottle with paper. Or peel the label off the bottle, scrub the outside of the bottle clean, dry it well and paint flowers on it.
- Most glass beer bottles look roughly the same today as beer bottles did decades ago, so it's easy to give a vintage effect to such a bottle. If you have unused stickers of your favorite sports team or cartoon from your childhood, use them to cover the bottles. Use photo editing software to give some of your digital photos a sepia, grayscale or bronzed look, print the photos off, make a collage out of them and wrap a bottle in the collage.
- You can also use the inside of the bottle for decorative purposes. Fill bottles with painted seashells or colored sand. As beer bottle necks are narrow, you'll have to use tiny shells or smash up bigger shells. For a more disco effect, pour glitter, sequins or plastic gems into the bottle. To decorate the bottles for Halloween, fill them with fake blood or tiny, homemade paper-mache eyeballs.
- Even if you prefer to take your used bottles to the recycling bin, you may find it trickier to find somewhere to recycle the bottle tops. Luckily you can use these in craft projects just as easily as the bottles themselves. Give mirrors an edgy look by gluing the bottle tops onto their frames. Decorate the inside of the bottle tops with fabrics, embellishments and paper and glue them into the center of a photo frame.
