If you're a student (especially if you go to college in America) than the chances are that you've been looking for the cheapest way to insurance your car possible.
I know that when I was in college I had to find ways to make every dollar stretch as far as I could since the basic costs of going to college are astronomically high.
Luckily, there are several auto insurance companies that are especially good for students, and that will actually offer you a discount based on your grades.
Usually you need to have an average of a 'B' grade to qualify.
The incentives here are obvious - cheaper car insurance and better grades! Always remember to drive safely and to obey the speed limits, since these discounts won't count for anything if you pick up a bunch of speeding tickets and violations, not to mention the fact that you're putting yourself at greater risk of having an accident (remember that the speed limits are set for a reason).
Another great way to lower your annual car insurance premium is to drive a car that is low powered and that has an alarm fitted to it.
In college the only car that you can afford might be the cheapest one on the car lot, but if you do have the money to get one with an alarm I'd highly recommend it since it'll save you money year on year and will also make your car less likely to be stolen, which is a bonus!
