If you want to spend five minutes to save an hour for later on, I highly recommend creating a type of map or schematic for your haunted house. You don't have to be an artist to do this you just have to draw a basic straight line or semi straight line. Try to map out the space that you are going to have and kind of let your imagine, what's going on and what, where? What will this help you do? It will help you map out your space, it will help you start planning what is actually going to go on in your house, it will also help you to start space out where actors can be potentially. To kind of get to where those people are going to go and how the basic flow of the house is going to go. How are people going to enter and exit your house, these basic steps are helped immensely by mapping it out. More than likely you're going to have several drafts of this map, you're going to have several interactions as you make decisions. We are you going to be helping you more to crystallize the final format of your haunted house. Now people when you skip out the mapping process things come more halter skittered, you have more crazy decisions happen at the zero hour right before the house is opened. So word to the wise make sure you map things in advance you make more of those decisions, it will make it a lot easier down the road.
