How to Make a Photo Calendar on a Printer

    • 1). Scan in the photo, if using a print rather than digital photo. Open your word-processing or design software, and set up a new document, of the size of cardstock you are using.

    • 2). Insert your photo or photos at the top of the document, leaving a margin around the top and sides of approximately 1/2 inch. If you are using multiple photos, arrange them in a group. Try several groupings before deciding on your design--options for layouts include layering the photos one on top of the other, or putting a border around each (consult your software's help information on how to create these layout options).

    • 3). Insert a text box directly under the images, and write the year in the box in an attractive font. Insert a table or series of tables below the image, to form twelve grids, one for each month, with 31 boxes each grid. Insert text boxes above each grid, and add the name of each month in a coordinating font. Consult an existing calendar to add the days of the week and their dates to each month's grid. Save the calendar file.

    • 4). Load the card stock in the printer, and print the calendar.
