- 1). Mix 2.5 parts of gloss, one part hardener and one part reducer into the airbrush container. Weigh the measurements on a small scale for accuracy.
- 2). Place the paint booth outside in a well-ventilated location. You can also use the booth indoors in a well-ventilated area. Place the model or whatever else you intend to paint inside the paint booth.
- 3). Spray the clear coat onto the model with an even hand. Position the sprayer about 8 to 10 inches away from the surface and hold the air brush at a 90 degree angle to the object. Spray on the top coat until the gloss just saturates the surface of the model and looks wet. Allow the coat to dry for about 1 to 2 hours until you can touch it without creating a smudge.
- 4). Sand the surface lightly with wet sandpaper.
- 5). Spray another coat of gloss over the surface of the model. Allow this gloss to cure for 24 hours before removing it from the paint booth.
