- 1). Inspect the lens. Locate large pieces of tar or grit that need to be removed. Use a small putty knife to scrape these off.
- 2). Pour denatured alcohol onto a clean rag. Rub the lens with the rag in a circular motion. The lens may appear to get cloudier but this is just the alcohol drying. Allow 10 minutes for the alcohol to dry and reinspect. Polish the lens a second time with the denatured alcohol.
- 3). Apply a thin layer of car wax to the lens with a clean rag. Wait several minutes. Buff the wax out.
