- 1). Wrap your beading wire around the needles on which you want to use them, leaving a small gap in the wire so the markers will slide along the needles instead of getting stuck. Smaller diameter needles — sizes one through five — will require less wire than larger ones. Add on an inch or two of extra length for your beads themselves and the crimp tubes — the total length will depend on the size of your beads. You will trim the ends later, so it's better to have slightly more wire than too little at this point.
- 2). Fold your wire in half loosely and feed both ends into one crimp tube. Slide it up the wire until you have a loop the size you need for your needles, and use your crimp tool to secure it.
- 3). Slide both ends of the wire through your bead and snug the bead up against the crimp tube. Add a second crimp tube to the bottom of your bead and secure it with the crimp tool.
- 4). Trim the hanging ends of your beading wire with the wire cutters so it is flush with your crimp tube.
