Solar Panel Washers

The solar industry has been going strong for a while now and with it new industries are growing up around it. While there is very little maintenance to most solar arrays, after a while there is some care that has to be taken. Attention to detail is important to photovoltaic panel systems as it would be to any other aspect of home maintenance. If you are considering, huge solar panel systems such as those in power plants or large industrial complexes, the small challenge of maintenance becomes a bit larger. One of the issues of maintenance is something that is most important in hot and dry climates. That is dust that happens as a result of wind, sand and dust storms. Even wildfires that are close to the solar array can cause challenges regarding the gathering of dust. Solar panel washers are the answer.

The way that a photovoltaic panel systems works, starts with the solar cell which has the job of capturing sunlight and turning it into an electric current. A group of solar cells is called a module. About forty modules make up a panel. However, these are housed inside a glass plate which helps to attract the sunlight. It is these glass plates that get dusty and depending on the weather need to be occasionally cleaned. Solar panel washers added to the photovoltaic system can remove the dust and bring total efficiency back to the solar panels. The need for efficiency is paramount to a well-functioning panel system. It basically means that the solar cells with their semiconductors are able to capture the sunlight and at the best percentage possible turn the light into energy. The best way to accomplish that is with clean, clear glass that covers the panels that have been maintained with solar panel washers.

Looking at the parts of the world where sunlight prevails, it would include the southwest of the United States, the Sahara, Saudi Arabia, India and parts of Australia. Yet, countries like Germany are having a great deal of success with their solar energy gains. However, nations like Germany, Sweden, Norway and Finland who have employed solar energy as a large part of their energy programs have snow and rain to wash away a lot of the dust that forms on the panels. The other parts of the world that were previously mentioned have a lot more dust and much less rain. They are the most prominent places where solar panel washers would be useful. Nobody wants to shut down power due to dust any more than they would want to have issues with continual electricity being challenged due to the intermittency of photovoltaic energy. There is always a new technology on the horizon to deal with challenges regarding solar based electricity.
