2-Liter Pop Bottle & Styrofoam Ball Crafts

    Baskets

    • Use a 2-liter pop bottle to create a basket for Easter or any time of year. Cut the bottle so only the bottom portion remains. Put a plastic foam ball into the bottom of the bottle and embellish by pushing silk floral stems into the ball and add a ribbon handle to the basket. You can also create a basket by cutting the bottle and covering it completely with fabric or duct tape and putting a plastic foam ball into the inside and cover the ball with floral moss and flower heads.

    Games and Toys

    • Turn 2-liter bottles and a plastic foam ball into a bowling game. Remove labels from the bottles and use tape to create a decorative trim around the top of the bottle. Put a few pieces of gravel into each bottle for stability. Wrap a plastic foam ball in duct tape to add weight and to protect the surface, then try to roll the ball and knock the bottles over. Another game is to cut the top off a 2-liter bottle and then attach a string between a plastic foam ball and the bottle. Try to swing the ball and catch it in the cutoff bottle. Beware of sharp edges.

    Decorative Pieces

    • Turn a simple 2-liter bottle and a plastic foam ball into a decorative piece that resembles a person or animal. By simply gluing the ball to the top of the bottle to represent a head, you can create a variety of decorative pieces. Use craft materials such as felt and googly eyes to create a bear, penguin clown or a holiday item such as an Easter Bunny or Santa Claus. Use the figure as a centerpiece or seasonal home decoration.

    Dolls

    • Create dolls out of Styrofoam balls and a 2-liter bottles. Glue the ball to the top of the bottle and use yarn for hair and buttons or googly eyes and other craft items to create a doll. You can also use a 2-liter bottle to create party decorations. For instance, glue a plastic foam ball onto the top of a 2-liter pop bottle, then cover the bottle and ball with a piece of white fabric, add two black eyes with a marker to create a ghost to use as Halloween decor.
