- 1). Start the hat by crocheting a circle. Continue to make your circle until the circumference of the circle is slightly bigger than the head of the person who will be wearing the Easter bonnet.
- 2). Crochet evenly in the round; this will turn your flat circle into a dome shape for the cap portion of your Easter bonnet. Continue in this manner until the cap reaches its desired height.
- 3). Make your brim by increasing each round until the brim is as wide as you want it to be. If you want your brim to roll up on the edges, simply crochet evenly around for three or four rounds after the desired brim size is completed.
- 4). Finish off your brim and weave in your ends using a large eye blunt needle. Sew a crocheted flower to the side or weave a length of ribbon around the stitches on the brim to give your Easter bonnet a finished, polished feel.
