- 1). Form a chain of 15 stitches using the double wool.
- 2). Turn the piece around and skip the first chain. Double crochet across the row, making a total of 14 double crochets. A double crochet is done by passing the hook through the stitch below, looping two loops onto the hook and pulling each one through the stitch's hole individually. You should work through a total of three times. Turn the piece once you finish.
- 3). Chain 14 more stitches and work nine double crochets across the row. Turn the piece. Chain nine and attach to the end of the row with a slip stitch.
- 4). Turn the piece around and skip the first chain. Double crochet across the row. Turn the piece once you finish.
- 5). Chain 14 more stitches and work 12 double crochets across the row. Turn the piece. Chain 12 and attach to the end of the row with a slip stitch.
- 6). Repeat steps 2 through 5 until there are 47 rows total and join the beginning and ending rows using slip stitches.
- 7). Switch to the worsted wool and work around the base of the turban rotating between double and single crochet rounds for a total of eight rounds.
- 8). Tie off your thread.
