How to Remove the Startup in Windows

    • 1). Go to the Start menu, click "Run," type "msconfig" in the search field and hit "Enter" to start the System Configuration Utility in Windows XP.

      Go to the Start menu, type "msconfig" in the "Start Search" box and hit "Enter" to start the System Configuration Utility in Windows Vista and 7.

    • 2). Click the "Startup" tab in the System Configuration Utility window.

    • 3). Uncheck the programs you want to remove from the Windows startup, click "Apply" and then "OK" to save the new settings. Restart your computer when prompted.
