How to Save DVDs on a Computer With Windows Vista

    • 1). Right-click on the desktop. Select "New" and "Folder."

    • 2). Name the folder "DVD Backup."

    • 3). Insert the DVD into your computer.

    • 4). Open the "Computer" menu (either from the "Start" menu or from the "Computer" icon on the desktop). Click on "Tools," open "Folder Options," click on the "View" tab, check the box to "Show Hidden Files" and uncheck the box to "Hide Protected Files."

    • 5). Double-click on the DVD drive.

    • 6). Drag and drop the files contained therein to the "DVD Backup" folder on your desktop.
