How to Add NIV to OpenSong

    • 1). Close OpenSong. Go to the OpenSong home page. Click on the downloads link under "Navigation." Select "English" in the Bible Translations box or scroll down to Bible Translations. Choose "New International Version" from the list of English translations.

    • 2). Pick "Open" in the File Download dialogue box. Click on "Extract All Files" or highlight the icon for the New International Version and right-click on "unzip." Copy the unzipped or extracted file to Program files\OpenSong\OpenSong Scripture for computers with Windows Operating Systems. For Macintosh users, save the file to Applications/OpenSong/OpenSong Scriputre.

    • 3). Start OpenSong. Go to "Sets Mode." Click on File and go to Scripture Lookup. Select "NIV" for New International Version from the drop-down box. OpenSong will index the Bible. Verify that you have the NIV version by choosing a passage in the NIV mode and comparing it to an NIV passage from a print Bible or a website with the NIV translation of the passage.
