How to Reinstall Windows Media Center 2005

    • 1). Launch your Internet browser and make your way to CNET.com's Windows XP Media Center Editing 2005 download page (full link in "Resources").

    • 2). Select "Download Now." In a moment the program begins to download to your computer.

    • 3). Double-click the downloaded file (it either appears on your desktop or in a "Downloads" window) to launch the installation wizard.

    • 4). Accept the license and use agreement, then leave the installation name and location as the default settings. This also installs over your current version of Windows Media Center (if you have one currently installed) and select "Install." Your Windows XP Media Center 2005 now installs onto the computer.
