How to Add Different Color Schemes in Microsoft XP

    • 1). Install and run WindowBlinds from Stardock.

    • 2). Select a "Visual Style" from the WindowBlinds home screen. A visual style is a theme that can be modified and applied to your system.

    • 3). Click on the "Colors" tab to alter the colors of your selected visual style. If the "Colors" tab is grayed-out, then you cannot modify the colors of that particular visual style and you should select another.

    • 4). Click on the "Change Skin System Colors" button to manually adjust individual elements of a theme, such as windows, popup dialogs, and warnings. Select "Create New Substyle" from the "Select a substyle to edit" drop down menu.

    • 5). Give your new substyle a name and choose a substyle that you want to use as a starting point from the drop down menu.

    • 6). Use the "Select a Color to Edit" list to customize the colors of your theme. Select an element and click "Change Color" to give that element a custom color. Click the "Close Window" button to save your settings.

    • 7). Click the "Apply Changes" button on the main menu to apply your new color scheme to Windows.
