How to Use Start->Run to Open the Task Manager

    • 1). Click on the "Start" menu button, in the lower-left corner of the Windows desktop.

    • 2). Click on the "Run" button. A small pop-up window with a single text field will open.

    • 3). Type "taskmgr" into the text field. This command is a Windows shortcut for the Task Manager tool.

    • 4). Hit the "OK" button to run the command and launch Task Manager.

    • 5). Use the tabs at the top of the Task Manager window to view different information about the processes currently running on your computer.
