How to Find a Satellite ID Number in a Car Radio

    • 1). Turn on your satellite radio and change the channel to 0. This channel will display your eight-digit radio ID number. Write it down so that you have it when contacting customer service.

    • 2). Check the box your radio came in (if it wasn't pre-installed). You'll find your unique ID number on the bottom of the box.

    • 3). Check on the back of the radio if it hasn't been installed yet. There will be a label that will have your ID Number on it. Write it down before you install the satellite radio into your car.

    • 4). Contact your car vendor if the radio was pre-installed. The dealership will have a record of the number.
