How to Add Sirius Radio to a 2004 Mercedes CLK

    • 1). Mount the radio in a location that it can be reached by the driver. Make sure that the radio is not obstructing the driver's view or inhibits the ability to operate the vehicle safely. A good place is using a dock system mounted to the windshield above the center dash panel or mounted to the dashboard in the same place.

    • 2). Ensure the car is dry and warm on the outside. Mount the antenna on the vehicle roof in the center at the rear of the car, leaving at least 3 inches of metal surrounding the antenna. Use the antenna tail to guide the wiring toward the entry point to the car. Use a blunt plastic tool --- such as a putty knife or credit car --- to feed the wire under the rubber seal around the rear window.

    • 3). Route the cable into the trunk under the rear trunk lid and rubber weather stripping. Feed the cable through into the CLK cabin. Run the cable under the carpets up to the front of the cabin. Connect the antenna cable to your Sirius radio. Coil any excess wiring and conceal away from any pedals or controls.

    • 4). Plug the cigarette lighter adapter into the CLK cigarette lighter port located in the lower center dash panel. Plug the other end into the power jack on the vehicle dock or the radio. Coil and conceal any excess wire.

    • 5). Plug the auxiliary cable into the "Aux" port on the CLK radio. Set the radio to "Aux" mode to hear the signal of the Sirius radio.
