- 1). Unscrew and remove the trim panel above the footwell on the driver's side. These screws will vary depending on the make and model; they will most likely be Phillips or Torx screws.
- 2). Disconnect the cable from the pedal by pulling out the end and unhooking the inner cable through the slot in the pedal.
- 3). Detach the mounting nuts for the pedal, using your wrench. Remove the pedal.
- 1). Unscrew and unclip the lower dash panel on the driver's side. Unclip any parts connected to the panel, such as the multi-plug or the hood-release cable.
- 2). Detach the electrical connectors on the pedal switches, then turn and pull the switches out of the pedal bracket.
- 3). Loosen the nuts connecting the pedal to the bracket assembly, using your wrench.
- 4). Remove the nut for the clutch pedal's pivot shaft. Slide the shaft bolt enough to remove the clutch pedal. Release the return spring and actuator rod from the clutch pedal.
- 5). Remove all clips that hold the brake pedal to the pedal and bracket assembly. You might need to loosen the upper bracket bolt with your wrench.
- 6). Slide the pivot shaft bolt further until it is off the brake pedal to remove it. You may need to remove pins or clips from the assembly's servo actuator rod to move the bolt further.
