How to Change Setting in a Limited XP Account

    • 1). Click "Start." Select the "Log Off" button. Windows XP will log you off of your limited access user account and will display a list of all user accounts available on your machine. Click the icon with the word "Administrator" next to it to log into your computer's administrator account.

    • 2). Click "Start."

    • 3). Click "Settings."

    • 4). Click "Control Panel."

    • 5). Click "User Accounts."

    • 6). Click on the icon for the limited access Windows XP user account that you would like to change settings for. This will bring up a list of all of the settings that you can change. Click on a category listing to see available options. When you're finished changing settings click "Apply" to put those settings into effect.
