- 1). Click "Skip" on the registration screen. Registration is not required.
- 2). Click "File", then "Backup Full Registry." Specify where you want the backup.
- 3). Click "Edit" and then "Options." Check "Create a system restore point before repair."
- 4). Uncheck "Include all references to removable media" and "Include all references to CD drive." Leaving these options checked may render external devices and CD/DVD drives unusable.
- 5). Select the other options as desired. Click "OK."
- 6). Select all options under "Select the sections to scan." Click "Scan registry issue."
