- 1). Boot your computer to Windows 2000. Click "Start," and select "My Computer." Right-click "Local Disk," and then click "Properties." Check "File System" to confirm that the disk is using the FAT or FAT32 file system, and not NTFS.
- 2). Insert your Windows 95 or Windows 98 floppy disk, or your MS-DOS boot disk, into your floppy disk drive.
- 3). Restart your computer. It will boot from the disk and go to a DOS command. Type "sys c:", then hit "Enter," to remove the Windows 2000 boot files and revert your computer back to MS-DOS or Windows 95 or 98.
