Troubleshooting an 8G Transcend USB Jump Drive That is Not Recognized in Windows XP

    • 1). Plug the Transcend 8GB drive into the computer's USB port.

    • 2). Click the "Start" menu and right-click on the "My Computer" option.

    • 3). Click "Manage" from the menu and click on the "Device Manager" in the "System Tools" menu.

    • 4). Right-click on your Transcend 8GB flash drive in the "USB" menu on the "Device Manager." This will be labeled "Unknown Device" in the menu.

    • 5). Click "Uninstall" and click "Yes" to confirm the uninstall. Click "Restart" in the next window and wait for the computer to restart and reinstall your driver automatically.
