Hi, I'm Cherish Flieder, designer of Somethingtocherish.com. Welcome to my studio. Today, I want to show you how to decorate a card after embossing it. So my first example, I want to show you how you can simply use a stamp to create shapes on your embossed surface just by pushing down really hard and you can get in the crevices. You can also touch the top of the embossed texture with a stamp like this, just to catch the highlights. A couple of other ideas to decorate your embossed card is to use ribbon or even glitter along with cutouts and rads. For this card, I'm going to continue the work I've done after stamping and adding the embellishment with a little bit of marker or pen work and this is a very simple thing you can do to add some wonderful contrasts and even a little sentiment. Another great thing you can do is add some dimension and interest to your card by using cut shapes. These can be made digitally or even cut by hand. I'm going to simply attach this pre-cut shape with just a little bit of glue, not too much, just so I'll catch a few of the letters, it dries clear so even if it moves around on you or squishes out, it's no big deal. Okay, and I'm going to use a button at the top to create a little bit of an accent and to start before I could either glue it on which would be totally fine or I can stitch it on. So I'm going to actually stitch it on and here is your little card with a button. So I hope you enjoyed learning some different ways to embellish your paper embossed cards. My name is Cherish. Now, go live life to the fullest and make it something to cherish.
