- 1). Pour undiluted white vinegar onto a clean rag, and then use it to wipe the door and the frame. The acid in the vinegar will remove lime scale, mildew and soap scum; rinse well with tepid water and wipe dry with a paper towel.
- 2). Remove stubborn stains by mixing ¼ C. baking soda, ½ C. white vinegar and 1 C. clear ammonia into 1 gal. water. Stir, until the ingredients are thoroughly combined, then apply the solution to the shower door with a damp sponge, rub briskly, rinse and let air-dry.
- 3). Wipe the shower door with fabric-softening dryer sheet to remove any lingering residue, and then cover the door with a thin layer of automotive wax. Gather the wax on a soft cloth; apply the cloth to the glass, and polish, until the compound is no longer visible. The wax reduces the attraction between the glass and the water, making it easier to wipe dirt and mineral deposits away.
