The Best Way to Clean Burned-on Food From Ceramic Cooktops

    • 1). Fill an empty spray bottle with white vinegar. Spray the vinegar directly onto the food stain.

    • 2). Wait 25 minutes as the vinegar soaks into the burned food.

    • 3). Sprinkle 1 tbsp. of baking soda over the stain.

    • 4). Wet a cleaning sponge or cloth with vinegar and use it to scrub away the burned food. The vinegar should have dissolved the residue, and the baking soda provides a gentle abrasive that helps remove food particles without scratching the cook top.

    • 5). Wipe the cook top with a clean cloth moistened with water.

    • 6). Dry with a lint-free cloth. Polish with ceramic stove top polish if you want to add extra shine.
