- 1). Close all open programs. Click the Windows "Start" menu and click the "Control Panel." Click "Uninstall a Program" under "Programs." This launches the programs window. Alternately, launch the programs window by clicking the Windows "Start" menu, typing "appwiz.cpl" (without quotes) in the "Start Search" box and pressing "Enter."
- 2). Scroll down the programs window and click "Microsoft Windows Service Pack 2 (KB948465)." Click "Uninstall" and follow the guided prompts to complete the Service Pack 2 uninstallation.
- 3). Restart your computer to complete the removal process.
