How to Remove Rust From Dishes

    • 1). Add a third cup of Red-Be-Gone rust remover to a plastic bucket and fill the bucket with about one gallon of cold water.

    • 2). Place the rust stained dishes in the bucket and let them soak for approximately 15 minutes. If you still see rust after 15 minutes on the dishes let them soak for another five to 10 minutes.

    • 3). Wipe the dishes with a sponge to remove any remaining rust. Make sure to wear gloves to protect your skin from any chemicals that may be in the rust remover.

    • 4). Fill another plastic bucket with warm water and a couple squirts of dish soap. Wash the dishes thoroughly and dry them with a clean dish towel.
