Things You'll Need
Instructions
1Make a slipknot on your crochet hook by forming a loop with the yarn and pulling the end through. Crochet a foundation chain of 21 stitches.
2
Single crochet into the second chain from the hook and into each remaining chain across the row. You will now have 20 stitches. Chain one stitch then turn your work.
3
Single crochet into each stitch across the row. Chain one stitch then turn your work.
4
Repeat Step 3 without chaining one stitch but still turning your work until you have reached the desired length for your scarf.
5
Fasten off by cutting the yarn, leaving a 6-inch tail of yarn. Make a loop with the tail and bring the end through to form a knot. Pull tight to secure.
6
Thread the yarn tail through the tapestry needle and weave in by guiding it through your crochet stitches to make it invisible to the eye.
7
Add an optional fringe by cutting equal lengths of yarn and folding each one in half. Starting at the outermost edge, use your crochet hook to pull one fringe piece through a stitch on the final row of the scarf. Take each end of the fringe through the loop on the crochet hook and pull to secure in place.
8
Repeat Step 7 until the fringe is complete.
