- 1). Download the Mswinsck.ocx file from OCXDump, NoDevice, or AFreeOCX (see Resources). Save the file to the desktop.
- 2). Click the "Start" button, and then click "Computer." Double-click the "Local Disk C:" icon, the "Windows" folder and the "System32" folder.
- 3). Drag the Mswinsck.ocx file from the desktop to the "System32" folder. If Windows prompts you for permission to modify the folder, click "Continue." Close the Windows Explorer window when the process is complete.
- 4). Click the "Start" button, and type "regsvr32 mswinsck.ocx" without quotation marks in the search box at the bottom of the Start menu. Press "Enter." Windows should display a message explaining that the file was successfully registered.
