- 1). Measure and cut two lengths of the silver craft wire 18 inches long. Curl one end of one wire with the needle-nose pliers to form a loop. Continue to create a spiral with two more rings around the first loop.
- 2). Place two to three beads on the wire and let them drop to the spiral. Form the wire above the beads in an S shape approximately an inch long. Add two to three more beads and let them drop to the S shape. Repeat the beginning spiral.
- 3). Repeat the pattern of adding beads, forming the S shape, adding beads and forming the spiral. Continue to the end of the wire. End the wire with either an S shape or a spiral. Clip off any excess wire.
- 4). Wind the beaded wire tightly around the length of the taper candle. Leave room at the bottom for placing in a candle holder and at the top for burning the candle. As the candle burns down, you can push the wire down.
- 5). Repeat these steps for the other cut wire and taper candle.
- 1). Trace your pattern onto the pillar candle using the point of the wood skewer. Trace lightly so that the line is barely visible.
- 2). Place a straight pin through a bead and stick it into the candle on the line. Make sure the straight pins will fit through the hole in the bead and the head of the pin is larger than the hole to keep the bead from slipping off. Continue to add beads to complete the design.
- 3). Place sequin pins into the sequins and randomly place them around the beaded pillar candle for added sparkle.
