Hi. I'm Linda Hutchinson of L. Hutchinson Designs. Today, I'm going to show you can decorate paper lanterns as centerpieces. Here I have a paper lantern that I purchased very inexpensively. And it's a great way to add a pop of color for a low amount of money. It expands to this large item, they come in all kinds of bright colors. And it's also great because they fold very flat. So it's easy to store for your next party or whatever. I have some silk flowers, a large thick satin ribbon and some curling ribbon and a pair of scissors. So first I'm going to take my thick contrasting ribbon out of satin and I'm just going to tie it and I'm going to tie a nice bow on here. I like the combination of hot pink, black and white, I think it really is very eye catching. But you can use whatever combination suits your decor or the theme of the party that you might be decorating. So just play around the bow until you've got it where you want it. Sometimes when you're using a bow that's printed on one side it's a little tricky to try to get all of the exposed areas to have that print showing. Sometimes you have to play around with it a little bit. So once you have it where you want it then you take the curling ribbon and just kind of tie that around different areas on here to add a little bit more of a festive look. You could just tie it on and you use your scissors. Hold it against the inside edge of the scissor with your thumb, carefully and pull and it gives this nice festive curl. And sometimes it won't curl as much on the first try, you can just go back and do it again. Just tying it all over the place so that it has a really festive look. You can use contrasting ribbons if you would like or matching ribbons, whatever you prefer. OK. That one ripped so I'll just go ahead and take a different one. You can put as many or as few as you would like. And again, go in with your scissors and curl it. And then, you take your silk flowers, just kind of fan them out a little bit and place them inside. And there you have a cute inexpensive and festive centerpiece out of a paper lantern. My name is Linda Hutchinson and thank you so much for joining me. Bye bye.
