- 1). Open Windows Firewall. To do this, click on "Start > Run," then type "wscui.cpl" into the text box and press "OK." The Windows Security Center will now open. Click on "Windows Firewall" at the bottom of the window to open it.
- 2). Select the "General" tab (if necessary) and press "Off (not recommended)" to disable this Windows security feature.
- 3). Press "OK" to save your changes and exit Windows Firewall. You have now successfully gotten rid of Microsoft's built-in Windows Security.
