- 1). Remove the original label from one of your candy bars. Take careful measurements of the label dimensions.
- 2). Open a new document in Microsoft Word. Create a text box the same size as your candy label.
- 3). Use free fonts and clip art to design your label. You can either make a parody of the original candy label, such as "Boo-terfinger" bars for a Halloween party, or start from scratch to make your own design. The more creative you are, the more memorable your party favors will be.
- 4). Copy and paste your image as many times as it will fit on one standard sheet of paper.
- 5). Print your candy labels. Depending upon the look you want for your project, custom candy labels can be printed on regular ink-jet printer paper, photo paper, or lightweight card stock. If your candy is very small, such as miniature chocolates, you could even try printing on self-adhesive address labels so you can simply peel and stick your candy wrappers over the original packaging.
- 6). Cut your labels and wrap your candy with the labels using a glue stick or clear tape for your adhesive. Although some people like to remove the original labels from their candy before adding their homemade design, it's a good idea to leave the manufacturer's label intact if you plan on selling your candy or giving it to someone who may have food allergies.
