Trim a 12-by-12-inch sheet of blank card stock to 8.5-by-5.5 inches using a paper trimmer or pair of scissors.

    • 2). Fold your cut piece of card stock in half, widthwise. Using a bone folder, press down the folded side of your card to form a crease. The card should now measure 4.25-by-5.5 inches.

    • 3). Cut a piece of solid paper 2-by-4 inches. Select another piece of paper in a different color or print and cut a 1.5-by-2-inch piece. Attach the smaller piece to the larger piece using a glue stick. Position the smaller piece of paper slightly to the left portion of the larger piece.

    • 4). Adhere the two pieces together to the lower portion of your card front.

    • 5). Press a rubber stamp into an ink pad, then stamp the front of your card in the top blank portion to create a design.

    • 6). Write a word or two on the 1.5-by-2-inch piece of paper on the front of your card. A few examples are: "Hello," "Miss you," "Smile," "Love is..," "Family," "Believe" or "Thank You."

    • 7). Open your card and write a special note to the recipient on the blank portion inside.
