- 1). Lay the chicken wire flat. Using the wire snippers, carefully cut the chicken wire to a 12-by-22-inch rectangular shape.
- 2). Form the chicken wire into a cylindrical tube by wrapping the shorter sides of the rectangle toward each other. Cut three pieces of 22-gauge wire into one-inch pieces. Using the needle-nose pliers, twist each piece of wire along the side of the cylinder to secure the ends together.
- 3). Form the domed top of the cloche by gathering the chicken wire together and cutting away the excess, using the wire snippers. Secure the top with 22-gauge wire to hold the shape.
- 4). Thread a washer onto the screw and insert the screw from below through the top of the wire cloche. Screw on the decorative knob.
- 5). Spray paint the wire cloche and knob to your desired color.
