- 1). Click the "Start" menu, type "regedit" (without quotes) in the "Start Search" box and press "Enter" to launch the Registry Editor.
- 2). Click the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" folder to expand it, expand the "Software" folder, the "Microsoft" folder, the "Windows" folder, the "Current Version" folder and finally expand the "Policies."
- 3). Right click the "System" folder, select "New" and then click "DWORD (32-bit) Value" to create a new value. The new value is added to the right pane. Name the new value "DisableTaskMgr" (without quotes).
- 4). Double click the "DisableTaskMgr" value to launch the "Edit DWORD (32-bit) value" box. Replace "1" with "0" (without quotes) in the "Value Data" box. Save your changes and close the Registry Editor.
- 1). Launch the Group Policy Editor by clicking the "Start" menu, typing "gpedit.msc" (without quotes) in the "Start Search" box and pressing "Enter."
- 2). Double click "Administrative Templates" under "User Configuration," double click "System" and then double click "Crtl+Alt+Del Options."
- 3). Double click the "Remove Task Manager" entry, and then click "Disable" to actually enable the task manager.
