How to Make Snail Wind Chimes

    • 1). Glue your snail shells to the string. Place them wherever you like, but make sure some of them are are in similar places so they come in contact in a breeze. Make eight strings of shells and leave the shells to dry to the string overnight.

    • 2). Punch eight holes in the coffee lid around the perimeter. These will be the holes for your shell strings. Punch two more holes in the center of the lid.

    • 3). Push a length of string through one of the center holes, to the underside of the coffee lid, push the string back up through the other center hole, trim and tie your string the length you'd like your chime hanger to be.

    • 4). Attach the shell strings you have made to the eight remaining holes on the lid, and tie a few times. You can now display your homemade chime indoors or out; feel free to paint your chime if you like for an added personal touch
