- 1). Determine the make of the after-market accessory installed. The 2003 Ford Expedition factory-installed navigation system relies on CD technology to provide the mapping guides, not GPS, so any GPS system in place must be an after-market addition.
- 2). Determine whether the installation allows for easy removal of the device, or if a fuse can be removed from the GPS to stop its operation.
- 3). Consider purchasing a GPS Tracker Defense device (see Resources) if you can't remove or disable the after-market GPS accessory.
- 4). Install the GPS Tracker Defense device by plugging it into the vehicle's cigarette lighter. This device will disable all GPS devices in the car, including your mobile phone.
