- 1). Buy 3M's Scotch-Weld DP-8005 or Lord Corporation's 7540-AB glue from a home improvement store. These are the only types of glue that have been shown to work well with Starboard.
- 2). Mix the glue as directed on the package until the mixture is a consistent color. Insert the glue into the dispensing gun that came with the glue.
- 3). Apply a thin layer of glue evenly over the area of the Starboard that you want to glue. Spread it out with a putty knife until the entire area is covered.
- 4). Use a spring clamp to secure the two surfaces together. Secure it tight, but not so tight that the glue pushes out sideways.
- 5). Keep the clamp on for six hours until the glue has had a chance to dry. Then wait another 24 hours before putting any force on the two surfaces.
