- 1). Make a mold for the tile. Use a piece of plywood and screw sides on it to form the mold for the concrete floor tiles. Caulk the joint where the sides meet the plywood. To save time, make several forms.
- 2). Mix the concrete and add any color additives, gravel, stone or other decorative elements.
- 3). Lay the forms out with the plywood side down and fill them with concrete. Use a concrete trowel to smooth out the top of the concrete. For larger tiles, add some reinforcing wire to the middle of the tiles.
- 4). Let the concrete cure for several days and remove tiles from the molds by turning them over and unscrewing the sides from the plywood.
