How to Mount a Power Inverter in a Chevy Suburban

    • 1). Find the spot where you want to mount the power inverter. It should be mounted close to your adapter socket. The lower dash panel directly beneath your steering wheel is an excellent location to mount it.

    • 2). Cut a Velcro strip into four to six 3-inch strips. Separate the strips with short, hard bristles from strips with soft, brushy bristles. Attach the Velcro strips with the short, hard plastic bristles to the dash panel by peeling off the backing strip over the adhesive and putting them in place by hand.

    • 3). Attach the Velcro strips with the soft brushy bristles to the top of your power inverter. Once these strips are attached, push the inverter up against the dash so that the strips on the top of the inverter attach firmly to the strips placed on your lower dash.

    • 4). Plug the DC adapter end of your inverter into your cigarette lighter socket. Turn your inverter's "Power" button on. Plug in to the inverter the device you wish to power, using the device's 120-volt plug end.
