How to Make Temporary Room Dividers

    • 1). Find the studs in two walls across from each other where you want to divide the room. Mark the studs near the ceiling with a pencil.

    • 2). Use a stepladder to reach the ceiling. Screw two heavy hooks into the studs 1 inch from the ceiling in the opposite walls.

    • 3). Tie a heavy wire on one hook. Pull it as tight as possible across the room and secure it to the second hook by wrapping the wire tightly back on itself with pliers.

    • 4). Put circle clip curtain hangers on the wire. Use six per curtain panel.

    • 5). Clip heavy sheers or light cotton curtain panels to the circle clip hangers on the wire. Hang as many as needed to reach from wall to wall plus one extra panel. Leave closed or pull back as needed.
