Homemade Toys for Energetic Dogs

    Bottle Toy

    • 1). Empty your 20-oz. plastic bottle and rinse it out.

    • 2). Put your clean 20-oz. bottle into the sock. You must use a sock that is at least 5 inches longer than the bottle.

    • 3). Tie a knot at the end of the sock that is open. Make sure to tie the knot tight as your dog may chew on it and it could become loose over time.

    Treat Toy

    • 1). Cut four felt pieces into any shape you would like the toy to be in. All pieces must be the same size, but the toy can be as big as you like.

    • 2). Divide the four pieces of felt into two piles.

    • 3). Sew two of the felt pieces together at the edges. Be sure to tie a knot at the beginning of the thread and at the end so your sewing doesn't become unraveled. Repeat with the second pair.

    • 4). Lay one felt pair on top of the other. Sew the pairs together at the edges, leaving a hole in the top big enough to insert a dog treat.

    • 5). Insert your treat and sew up the remaining hole.
