- 1). Cut along the top and bottom of each piece of fleece to remove the selvage (finished edge) of the fabric. Remove the same amount from each piece of fleece and cut the edges straight.
- 2). Lay the two pieces of fleece out flat, one on top of the other, and put the wrong sides together. Cut along the edge to even any uneven areas of the two layers.
- 3). Measure and cut a 4- by 4-inch square from each of the corners. This will allow for the corners to lay nicely once the blanket is complete.
- 4). Mark off 1-inch sections along all of the edges using a fabric pen. Make 4-inch cuts into the fleece at these marks.
- 5). Tie each corresponding cut section in an overhand knot. This will create the fringe and complete your new blanket.
