- 1). Lay out your black shirt, pants and shoes on a floor or work surface, so that the clothing imitates the shape of a body.
- 2). Glue glow sticks of the same color, extending from the center of the neck on the front of the shirt to the center of the bottom of the shirt. Use glue which works on both fabric and plastic, such as certain spray adhesives.
- 3). Attach glow sticks with glue, from the center of the neck out toward the shoulders so that they go across the chest.
- 4). Affix glow sticks with glue, along the front of the shoulders and continuing down the arms toward the wrists. Keep the glow sticks on the front of the shirt, so that they are all completely visible from the front of the outfit.
- 5). Repeat the same glow stick pattern along the back of the shirt, with a line moving from the center of the neck in the back down to the center of the buttocks. Continue across the shoulder blades and down the backs of the arms.
- 6). Crack glow sticks minutes before wearing. According to the University of Michigan, glow sticks begin to glow when “cracked,” which combines two separate chemicals within the tube, resulting in a phosphorescent, colored solution.
- 1). Starting at the crotch, glue glow sticks out toward the thighs (in both directions) and following the front of the leg down to the end of the pant legs.
- 2). Repeat the same pattern for the back of the pants, beginning with a hip joint on top of the buttocks and moving down the legs, ending at the base of each pant leg.
- 3). Crack glow sticks minutes before wearing.
- 1). Wrap a flexible glow stick into the shape of a circle. Do this slowly so as to not crack the glow stick (you may need to try several times). Glue the ends of the glow stick together.
- 2). Attach one part of the glow stick circle to the “brim” of the hooded shirt (the outside part right above the face), using glue.
- 3). Repeat for the back of the hood, attaching the glow stick at the back part of the crown.
- 4). Crack the glow sticks minutes before wearing.
