- 1). Make a foam jester hat for Mardi Gras. Cut the craft foam into 3-inch strips and glue them together using the glue gun until it fits around the child's head. Staple them to a green strip of paper or foam that wraps around the head as the "crown" and then glue two jingle bells to each point, as well as around the crown itself.
- 2). Make a large bee out of foam. Cut the black and yellow craft foam into 1/4 inch by 6 inch strips and place one strip on top of the other, rolling them together and gluing them so they stay together. Stick straight pins through the layers from the side so that it stays together until the glue dries. Glue a black pom-pom to the side of the circle. On the head, glue eyes and chenille stems for antennae. Cut out wing shapes from white craft foam and glue them to the body. Stick a pin back to the back of the bee to hold it together.
- 3). Create a special mat for your pet. Get a large foam mat, some foam animal shapes and foam letter stickers as well as permanent markers. Let the kids place the items on the mat where they want them, and then peel off the back of the stickers to attach them to the mat. Let the kids decorate the mat with the permanent markers. Let the ink dry.
- 4). Design some animal bookmarks. Copy the patterns onto the craft foam sheets, and then cut out the bookmarks. Use the permanent markers to draw on the animal's facial features. Use the scissors to cut an opening where the animal's paws are supposed to be without getting too close to the edge of the bookmark. Glue wiggle eyes to the animal to complete the bookmark.
