How to Enable DEP for a Program in Windows XP

    • 1). Click "Start," right-click "My Computer" and click "Properties."

    • 2). Click the "Advanced" tab at the top of the System Properties window that appears.

    • 3). Click the "Settings" button in the Performance section.

    • 4). Click the "Data Execution Prevention" tab at the top of the Performance Options window.

    • 5). Click "Turn on DEP for All Programs and Services Except Those I Select."

    • 6). Click "OK" twice.
