Cut card stock pieces that you already have to the normal card size. You can also get already cut pieces of card stock - I've gotten these before and you can find them at almost any craft store (Hobby Lobby, Michael's, etc.). They come pre-cut to a great card size and come in a pack with multiple colors. - 2). You're going to use 2 pieces per card for this project. One needs to be slightly smaller on each side (see picture), so you'll just need to cut it about 1/4 inch smaller on each side. Also, it's great if the second piece is a different color.

On the smaller of the 2 pieces, sew whatever you want with a regular thread and needle - like, the Christmas trees in the picture (sorry it's a bit blurry). Tougher thread is best, but any regular thread will be fine. You could also sew words like "Thank You" or "Happy Birthday". - 4
Just tape the thread on the back of the card stock so that it stays tight and doesn't start to unravel. - 5
Then glue (or use modpodge or even double sided tape) and stick the smaller threaded piece of card stock onto the larger piece. - 6
And you're done! You can find card envelops at places like Walmart, Target, or wherever paper supplies are sold. Most likely you have envelops at home too, so then it's free!
